Tulsa County Jail Roster

The Tulsa County Inmate Registry is a public resource that allows anyone to check if a specific person is in custody at the Oklahoma state county jail. The site TulsaCourt.us helps quickly find publicly available information about individuals currently or recently held in custody. Additional information can be obtained on the official website of the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, through the county's Inmate Information Center, by phone, or in person at the jail. The registry is maintained by the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, it is regularly updated and posted on the county's website. The search allows you to find out the custody status, charges, and booking date.

Search Current Inmates in Tulsa Jail

There are several ways to check if a person is held at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center — the main county jail.

Online Search

  1. Go to the Inmate Information Center page on the official Tulsa County website.
  2. Enter the person's full legal name (last name is mandatory). If you know the booking number, you can use it.
  3. The system will display a list of matches with charges, booking date, and custody status.

If there is no separate search field on the page, use the Ctrl+F combination (or Cmd+F on Mac) to find the last name in the list. Useful information about arrest warrants and offender status is also published by the Tulsa Police Department.

Through TulsaCourt.us, you can additionally check publicly available court information related to a specific case.

By Phone

Call the jail directly or the sheriff's dispatch line:

David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center
300 N. Denver Ave., Tulsa, OK 74103Phone: 918.596.8900
Tulsa County Sheriff's Office — Dispatch / Non-emergency
Phone: 918.596.5600

The operator can confirm if a specific person is in custody if you provide the full name and date of birth.

In-Person Visit

There is an information window for visitors in the lobby of the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center. Bring an identification document with you. Juvenile offenders are not displayed in the public registry — information about them is not provided online or by phone.

Find Tulsa Jail Booking Records Online

A booking record is created at the moment a detained person is officially admitted to the jail. This occurs after the arrested person is delivered to the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center. During the procedure, the following data is recorded:

  • Unique booking number
  • Date and time of admission
  • Charges
  • Arresting agency (sheriff, city police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, etc.)
  • Personal data — name, date of birth, photo

Most of this information is automatically entered into the online registry. To view the record, use the Inmate Information Center.

If you need an official copy of the booking or arrest record, submit a request for public documents. The Tulsa Police Department accepts such requests through the Open Records Act page. For records kept directly by the sheriff, contact the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

Records of individuals transferred to the state corrections system are available through the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Offender Lookup. A state-level criminal history can be requested from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Search the Tulsa Jail Roster by Last Name or Booking Number

There are two main search methods available on the registry page.

Search by Last Name

Enter the last name in Latin letters in the appropriate field. Some practical tips:

  • Check the spelling — even one incorrect letter will exclude the correct result.
  • If the last name is common (e.g., Smith or Johnson), add the first name to narrow the selection.
  • Try spelling variations with or without a hyphen if the last name is complex.

Search by Booking Number

The booking number is the most accurate way to find a specific record. This number is usually provided to relatives during the first call from the jail or can be found out by calling 918.596.8900.

What to Do If the Search Yields No Results

  1. Ensure you spelled the name correctly. Try just the last name without the first name.
  2. The person may not have been entered into the system yet — there can be a few hours between the physical arrest and the appearance of the record in the registry.
  3. If the person has already been released, the record disappears from the current registry. Contact the sheriff for archived data.
  4. Call the jail directly — the operator will manually check the status.

Jail Roster Updates and Search Limitations in Tulsa

The David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center registry is updated throughout the day, but this does not happen instantly. Between the time of arrest and the appearance of the record in the online system, it may take from one to several hours — depending on the jail's workload and time of day.

Several limitations to be aware of:

  • Data entry delay. If the arrest occurred late at night or on weekends, the record may only appear the next morning.
  • Records disappear after release. The registry only displays individuals currently in custody. As soon as a person is released on bail or by court decision, their name is removed from the list.
  • Not an archive. The online registry does not store the full history of all past bookings. To obtain old records, a separate request to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office or the Tulsa County Court Clerk is required if the case has already been heard in court.
  • Minors excluded. Data on individuals under 18 years old is not present in the public registry.

If you did not find the necessary information online, the most reliable step is to call the jail at 918.596.8900 or contact the sheriff's dispatch service: 918.596.5600. For court materials, use the Tulsa County District Court website.
